In a recent press release, Waleria Healthtech Private Limited (Waleria) announced that at this year’s SupplySide Global 2025, the women-first ingredient innovator will be unveiling new clinical findings from two gold-standard clinical trials that explored aspurūs,its proprietary Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus) root extract, and what its role may be in providing perimenopausal symptom relief and female sexual wellness.
Known as an adaptogenic herb in Ayurveda, Shatavari has been utilized for its potential benefits in hormonal balance, overall women’s health at different stages of menopause, and women’s reproductive health support. Waleria’s Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus) root extract, is patent-pending and hold both pre-clinical and clinical data regarding the major symptoms affiliated with menopause. Clinical Study 1: Relief for Premenopausal Symptoms
Researchers conducted a three-month randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study that consisted of more than 150 perimenopausal women that were experiencing multi-menopausal symptoms. Results stemming from the study showed a decrease in the frequency of multi-menopausal symptoms, as well as intensity reduction.
As mentioned in the press release, additional study results revealed:

- Outcomes assessed using the scientifically validated scale, which captures both frequency and severity across 12 domains (of menopausal symptoms), marking it first in Shatavari clinical trial.

Clinical Study 2: aspurūs Role in Female Libido and Sexual Wellness
A two-month double-blind, placebo-controlled, investigated the aspurūs extract in a lower dose in reproductive aged women that were experiencing a reduction in libido.
According to the press release, the results from the study found:
- Higher frequency of sexual activity in the aspurūs group vs. placebo
- Marked improvements in arousal, lubrication, orgasm, and overall sexual satisfaction after just four weeks.
Researchers examined the energy-libido connection which has been connected to stress, fatigue, and mood. The press release mentioned that this study was one of the first large-scale, placebo-controlled studies that evaluated Shatavari’s role in sexual wellness support.
